What four separate tools cost, and how we counted
We put a price comparison on our home page. Here is every rule we followed so that it stays fair to the vendors in it.
A company that wants team messaging, HR, project management and invoicing usually ends up with four vendors, four bills and four lists of users to keep in step. We sell one account that covers all four, so the obvious question is what the four cost. We decided to answer it on the home page, with a calculator, and to be strict about how.
The rules
- Every competitor figure is the vendor’s own list price, read from its public pricing page. The date we read it is printed beside the comparison, with a link to each page.
- Introductory discounts are ignored. They end, and a comparison that leans on them misleads in one direction or the other.
- We compare the lowest paid plan that a team of 10 to 50 people would hold, and we name the plan.
- If we could not read a price from the vendor’s own page on the day, the vendor is left out. We never estimate.
- Invoicing tools charge per organisation, not per person. We count them once and add no extra seats, which favours them.
- We say nothing about what another product can or cannot do. This is a comparison of price.
What it does not tell you
Those tools do things ours do not, and ours do things theirs do not. If you need bank reconciliation or payroll today, Bookuracy is not your accounting system yet, and the comparison does not pretend otherwise. What the number does tell you is what you would pay for the same four jobs from four vendors, at published prices, for your team size.
Our own prices
One product is $2.49 per user per month billed yearly, or $3.49 paying monthly. All four are $7.99 billed yearly, or $9.99 monthly: $95.88 per person for the year. Four single products would come to $9.96, so the bundle is 20% less. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial and no card is asked for at sign-up.
